Gordon Alexander \"Little Bear\" Murphy, 32, of Decatur, died Thursday morning, Nov. 22, 2012, at his home.
Gordon was affectionately known by all his family and friends as \"Bear.\" He was born on Dec. 17, 1979 in Chattanooga, and had been a lifelong resident of the Decatur area. He was of the Baptist faith. He will be greatly missed all those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Gerald Phillips.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory one son, Arron Alexander Womack; his mother, Sharron M. Hood; his girlfriend, Sherrie Jasso; one brother, John N. Hood and his wife, Heather; his grandmother, Jessie Goodwin; one niece, Leslie Hood; three nephews, Brad, Ethan and Michael Hood; and several other uncles, aunts, cousins, friends and extended family members.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at McInturff Cemetery, located off Highway 60 in Birchwood.
