Larry Gene Glisson, 50, of Athens, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012.
A native of Humbolt, and a longtime resident of McMinn County, he was a son of the late Rozell Glisson. He attended East Niota Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 11 years, Carol Jean Palmer Glisson of Athens; one stepdaughter, Carol Denise Ratledge and her husband, Tim, of Riceville; one stepson, Billy Joe Bryant of Niota; three step-grandchildren, Camdon and William Ratledge and Kayla Bryant; his mother, Ida Cox Burroughs of Bradford; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary and Vickie Glisson of Dyer, and David and Suzy Glisson of Milan; and one sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Jay Dunagan of Trenton.
Memorial services will be 7 p.m. Thursday at East Niota Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Plaster officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the church.
