Myrtle Pressley Henley, 88, of Niota, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at the home of her daughter in Niota.
A native of Monroe County and a longtime resident of Meigs and McMinn counties, she was a daughter of the late James and Alice Surrett Pressley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Henley; one son, Billy G. Henley; one sister and eight brothers. She was a member of Pisgah Baptist Church and was a former employee of American Uniform.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Joe Roberts of Athens, Sandra and Rick Coleman of Niota, and Sherry and Donald Davis of Athens; 10 grandchildren, including three special grandsons, Steve Roberts, Christian Ratledge and Dewy Henley, and two special granddaughters, Michelle Williams and Skylar Ratledge; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, Isaiah Robinson and KeyLee Green; two sisters-in-law, Bobbie Faye Pressley and Wilma Pressley; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were 5 p.m. Saturday at Ziegler Funeral Home with the Rev. Barry Lee and the Rev. Mike Justice officiating.
The family received friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
