Zanda Evaleen Walker Leamon, 70, of Calhoun, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday morning, Nov. 13, 2012, at her home.
A native of Maryville and a longtime resident of Calhoun, she was a daughter of the late Tom and Nell Crittenden Walker, and was preceded in death by one sister, Wanda Williams. She was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church.
Survivors include her loving husband of 49 years, the Rev. Dennis Leamon of Calhoun; two daughters and one son-in-law, Susan Leamon of Riceville, and Shannon and Steve Hinkle of Olive Branch, Miss.; four sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Valerie Leamon of Calhoun, Brian and Sherry Leamon of Cleveland, Anthony and Misty Leamon of Athens, and Sean and Cayci Leamon of Riceville; 12 grandchildren, Benjamin Rogers, Mitchell Leamon, Melody Leamon, Conlan Leamon, McKayla Leamon, Tanner Leamon, Tessa Leamon, Blake Leamon, Shyanne Hinkle, Garrett Hinkle, Sierra Hinkle and Eva Grace Leamon; and four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Bud and Carol Walker and Kenny Walker, all of Calhoun, Cecil and Linda Walker of Franklin, N.C., and Hovie and Sondra Walker of Nashville.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at McMinn Memory Gardens with Brother Glenn Standridge officiating.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers along with Josh Anderson and Jake Evans. An honorary pallbearer will be Kaleb Waldrop.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ziegler Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Zanda Leamon\'s name to St. Jude Children\'s Research Hospital, Attn: Memorial Dept., 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
