Hancel McCoy Reno, 77, of Athens, died Thursday night, Nov. 8, 2012, at his residence.
A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, he was a son of the late Alvin and Beulah Mae Barrett Reno and was preceded in death by one daughter, Billie Jo Reno. He was a former supervisor for the City of Athens Public Works Department.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Mary Hazel Shelton Reno of Athens; one son, Hank Reno and family friend, Lora Gay, of Tellico Plains.
Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Ziegler Funeral Home with Morgan Clough officiating. Burial will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in McMinn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
