Betty Louise Walker, 74, of Athens, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, at Life Care Center of Athens.
A native of Meigs County and a resident of McMinn County for most of her life, she was a daughter of the late Ernest Millard and Willie Mae Bottoms Walker, and was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Walker; and two sisters, Josephine Monday and Henrietta Mullins. She was a member of Clearwater Baptist Church.
Survivors include four brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles Albert Walker, Ernest Jr. and Brenda Millard Walker and Clarence Ray and Sandra Walker, all of Athens, and James Larry Walker of Ten Mile; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Annie Marie Walker and Nettie Mae and Billy Kugler, all of Athens; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Greg Hutsell officiating. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
