Ruby E. Carver Doss, 92, passed away Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, at the family home.

She was born in McMinn County. She was known for her devotion to her family, her care and concern for the welfare of others and her love for animals. She was preceded in death by her parents, E.J. and Cora Carver; five sisters and four brothers.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Lee Doss; and several nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to express gratitude to Rosalind and Tamara of Covenant Hospice Group and to Geneva and Anita of All About You Home Care.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Smith Funeral & Cremation Service.

Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Grandview Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Ballard officiating.

Smith Funeral & Cremation Service of Maryville is in charge of arrangements.
