Lenora Martin, 84, of Englewood, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at her residence.
She was born July 26, 1928, in McMinn County. She was a charter member of Englewood Church of God and was retired from the Eureka Garment Company.
A daughter of the late Elmer and Edith Cornett Hampton, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Judy Thurman and Gail Martin; and one son, Dale Martin.
Survivors include her husband of almost 70 years, Ivins Martin of Englewood; one daughter and son-in-law, Virginia IvaLee and Sonny Duggan of Englewood; three grandsons and two spouses, Charles and Penny Thurman, Dustin and Ashley Duggan and Terry Duggan; six great-grandchildren; three special nieces, Mary Ruth Cardin, Linda Martin and Kay Martin; a special nephew, Jerry Martin; a wonderful trusted friend whom she considered a family member, Joyce Price; and several other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Monday in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Cardin officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Tuesday, and will proceed to Mars Hill Cemetery for the 11 a.m. burial.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
