Lois \"Peggy\" Virginia Carver Harris, 75, of Niota, died Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at her residence.
She was raised in Polk County and spent 32 years in Detroit, Mich., before moving back to Tennessee. A daughter of the late David and Maddie Hutchins Carver, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Lisa Cattlet.
Survivors include her husband, Madison G. Harris of Niota; one daughter, Tina Marie Hall of Georgia; four sons, Walt Higdon and Roger Higdon, both of Athens, Lonnie Martin of Florala, Fla., and Marty Cattlet of Panama City, Fla.; one grandson, Christopher Harris; one granddaughter, Chelsy Blair; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday at Ziegler Funeral Home.
