Jesse Clarence Roberts, 88, of Ten Mile, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, at his residence.
He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his parents, Erwin Taylor Roberts and Mishia Letner Roberts; one brother, Ab Roberts; one daughter-in-law, Mildred Sexton Roberts; and one sister, Marie Roberts Jones.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Maggie Mobley Roberts of Ten Mile; two sons, Arthur Roberts of Ooltewah, and Lester Roberts of Ten Mile; one brother-in-law, Clarence Jones of Loudon; two grandchildren, Lonny Roberts and Lisa Roberts; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Bowers Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Couch and the Rev. Rick Duncan officiating. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Couch and the Rev. Rick Duncan officiating.
Pallbearers will be Tony Sexton, Chris Chastain, C.J. Chastain, Jimmy Letner, Jim Bowers and Billy Bull.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
