Eula Loveday Knox, 96, of the Goodsprings community near Etowah, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at Signature Health Care in Cleveland.
A native of McMinn County, she was a member of Goodsprings Baptist Church since 1932. A daughter of the late Gib and Annie Watson Loveday, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Leonard Knox; one son, Hoyt Lee Knox Sr.; two grandsons, Warren Lee Knox and Hoyt Lee Knox Jr.; and four brothers and sisters-in-law, Hubert and Eula Loveday, Hobert and Josie Loveday, Dent and Eula Loveday and Arlin and Grace Loveday.
Survivors include one daughter-in-law, Jane Bryan Knox of Etowah; two grandsons and their spouses, William Keith and Tonya Knox of Cleveland, and Richard Kent and Stephanie Knox of Etowah; four great-grandchildren, Brittany and Sarah Knox of Cleveland, and Lily Ann and Cayden Knox of Etowah; nieces and nephews, Troy and Betty Loveday, Quay and Linda Loveday and Melva Buckner, all of Etowah, and Curtis Loveday of Benton; and several other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Thursday in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with the Rev. Glenn Gamble and the Rev. Ernest Condee officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Friday, and will proceed to Goodsprings Cemetery for the 11 a.m. burial.
Pallbearers will be Wade Shultz, Hershell Casteel, Louis Bryan, Larry Choat, Andy Russell and James Cook.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
