Violet Arabella Cate, infant daughter of Bobby Joe Cate Jr. and Amy Cate of Athens, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Survivors other than her parents include one sister, Lola Cate of Athens; one brother, Isaiah Moats of Athens; her paternal grandparents, Bobby Joe Cate Sr. and his wife, Paula, of Athens; her maternal grandparents, John and Jennifer Evans of Riceville; three cousins, Megan Bowers, KayLee Ricker and Jacob \"Alex\" Winford, all of Athens; two aunts, Cindy Bowers of Athens, and Mariah Evans of Riceville; and two uncles, Kyle Ricker of Athens, and Jacob Ricker of Riceville.
Graveside services will be 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Clearwater Cemetery with Pastor Steve Beavers officiating.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to noon Thursday at Ziegler Funeral Home.
