Keran Howard Jessup, 82, of Athens, died Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, at Life Care Center of Athens.
A native of Milwaukee, Wis., a former resident of Upland, Calif., and a resident of McMinn County for the past 22 years, he was a son of the late Keran Claire and Clara Sibina Augustowski Jessup, and was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Price Jessup.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Niota and was employed as an accountant. He was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include one son, Tim Jessup of Memphis; one daughter, Lorri Daddezio of Savannah, Ga.; three sisters-in-law, Dolly Miller of Athens, Alberta Spakowski of Madisonville, and Kathleen Stevens of Stroudsburg, Pa.; four grandchildren, Morgan Keran Jessup, Cynthia Daddezio, Sean Stanfill and Damian Stanfill; and one great-grandchild, Daniel Daddezio.
Memorial services will be noon Tuesday at Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Farmer officiating.
