Willie Pearl Pittman, 84, a resident of Calhoun for the past 57 years and formerly of Bogalusa, La., died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, in a local health care facility.
She was a member of Calhoun First Baptist Church, where she was a former church clerk and Sunday school teacher. She was also a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James B. Magee and Sadie M. Fauntleroy Magee; her husband, William L. Pittman; two brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include one daughter, Judy Ann Allen and her husband, Fred, of Charleston; one son, Bill Pittman and his wife, Charlotte, of Calhoun; four grandchildren, Leigh Ann Burgess and her husband, Eric, of Calhoun, Meredith Kathleen Feinauer and her husband, Jason, of Ooltewah, William Casey Pittman and his fiancée, Monique Ledford, both of Benton, and Christopher Lee Pittman and his wife, Cayci, of Charleston; and four great-grandchildren, William Neyland Burgess, Rachel Ann Burgess, Emma Katherine Feinauer and Andrew William Feinauer.
Funeral services will be 7:30 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Cheatham officiating. Entombment will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Don Guthrie, Casey Pittman, Chris Pittman, Eddie Smith, Chris Dodson and Sidney Breaux. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Townsend and Charles Burger. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
