Marie Annette Womac, 53, of Athens, died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, at a Knoxville hospital.
She was a member of Overcoming Faith Christian Center in Athens, and served on the church auxiliaries. Her proudest virtues were that she was a proud mom, grandmother and wife.
Survivors include her husband, Mark Womac of Athens; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Betty Womac and Patrick and Naomi Womac, all of Athens; three granddaughters, Emmaline, Samantha and Morgan, all of Athens; her mother, Patricia Garrett of Detroit, Mich.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Anthony and Kim Garrett of Detroit, Mich., and Frazier and Darlene Garrett of Cincinnati, Ohio; and special friend, Hope Simon of Detroit, Mich.; and many other relatives, friends and brothers and sisters in Christ.
Memorial services will be 5 p.m. Saturday at M.D. Dotson & Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Harold McCowan officiating.
The family will receive friends from 4:30 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
