Clarence \"Mac\" Author McAllister



Sept. 23, 2012



Clarence \"Mac\" Author McAllister, 64, of Spring City, and formerly of McMinn County, died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, at his residence.



A native of Etowah, he was a son of Florence and the late Clyde Author McAllister. He was retired from Olin Chemical and was a member of the Starr Mountain Street Rodders Car Club. His hobbies included bicycling, hunting, antique automobiles and being a UT Vol fan.



Survivors include his wife, Lilly Armour Clement McAllister of Spring City; one son, Matthew David Clement of Cookeville; five sisters and four brothers-in-law, Wanda and E.W. Cooley and Joyce Reese, both of Etowah, and Imogene and Garry Brunk, Mary Helen and Laddie Clayton and Margaret and Ralph Bates, all of Benton; one uncle, Ed Parrot of Charlotte, N.C.; and one aunt, Sally Harkey of Charlotte, N.C.



Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Dr. Harold Curtis and the Rev. Jeff Blanchette officiating. Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Cog Hill Cemetery.



Pallbearers will be Chris Bates, Brad Bates, Greg Clayton, Jeff Reese, Mike Cooley and Chris Cooley.



The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
