Larry C. Wayt Sr., 74, of Englewood, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, at Parkwest Medical Center.
He was retired from Cummins Engine Company and was a big fan of West Virginia football. He enjoyed sports, woodworking and spending time with his family and friends.
The youngest son of the late Earl and Wilma Lee Powers Wayt, he was born on May 7, 1938, in Moundsville, W.Va. He was preceded in death by one son, Thomas S. Wayt; two brothers, Earl Wayt Jr. and Charles Wayt; and one sister, Donna Wayt.
Survivors include Joanna Durdon Wayt, the woman he so loved and adored who, on Dec. 20, 1958, in Newark, Ohio, became his wife. He was the proud and loving father of Mark and Mary Wayt of Plymouth, N.C., Larry and Mary Wayt of Indianapolis, Ind., Kathy and Robert Holley of Kokomo, Ind., and Ronald Wayt and Matthew Stille of Ellettsville, Ind.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and siblings, Ron Wayt of Bloomington, Ind., and Shelley Howell of Newark, Ohio.
By his request, no service will be held.
