Loreeca Lynn Tillman, 53, of Englewood, entered her heavenly home on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville.



She lived in Etowah and Englewood for most of her life and worked at McMinn Memorial Nursing Home for many years. She was a member of Mars Hill United Methodist Church.



A daughter of Mary and the late John Tillman, waiting in heaven for her were her wonderful father, John Tillman; her paternal grandparents, Ed and Hulit Tillman; and her maternal grandparents, Arlie and Bessie Lynn and Nellie Newman.



She was a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt, niece and friend. She served her community for many years as a compassionate nurse.



Left behind with precious memories are her mother, Mary Jo Newman Tillman of Englewood; one brother and sister-in-law, Eddie and Amanda Tillman of Etowah; and two sisters and one brother-in-law, Denisa Shelton of Englewood, and Gidget and Ben Green of Tellico Plains. Missing their lovely aunt are Brandi Shelton and her boyfriend, Jason Hitt, Maci, Summer, Amanda, Miranda and Ashley Shelton, all of Englewood, Heath Givens and Codi Tillman, both of Etowah, Jon and Brett Tillman, both of Athens, and Michael and Bree Green and Melody Whitner, all of Tellico Plains. She also leaves behind several uncles, aunts and cousins.



Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mars Hill United Methodist Church with the Rev. Richard Tallent officiating. Burial will follow in Mars Hill Cemetery.



Family members and close friends will serve as pallbearers.



The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the North Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home and from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church.



The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Mars Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund c/o Eugene Kelly, 496 County Road 500, Englewood, TN 37329.
