Cheryl Ann Wallace, 55, of Athens, died Sunday morning, Sept. 16, 2012, at her residence.
She was born on Aug. 3, 1957, in Anchorage, Alaska, and was a daughter of the late T.J. and Martha Nelson. She was also preceded in death by one son, Bryant Nelson; and one brother-in-law, Robert Ladd.
Survivors include one daughter, Tiffany Johnson; one sister, Patsy Ladd; four brothers, Terry Nelson and his wife, Lisa, Gregg Huggins and his wife, Kathy, Nick Santaniello and his wife, Amy, and Donnie Santaniello and his wife, Mollie; one grandson, Scott Wallace; one granddaughter, Amanda Nelson; his stepmother Katherine Nelson; one great-granddaughter, Alithia Wallace; special friends, Nathaniel Dabney and Gail Eaton; a special cousin, Don Barnett; and several nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Restoration Church, located at 3115 Highway 39 West in Athens, with the Rev. Scottie Balles officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
