Constance Lenore Nelson Moses, 86, of Athens, went to be with her beloved Savior on Monday morning, Sept. 17, 2012, at NHC Health Care of Athens.
A native of Auckland, New Zealand, and a resident of McMinn County since 1955, she was a daughter of the late Fredrick Arthur and Isa Cara Mae Watt Nelson, and was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, George Arnold Moses; three sisters, Valerie East, Betty Phillips and Peggy Wright; and two brothers, Sam and Fredrick Nelson. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and had retired from Athens Products.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Scott Mason of Athens; one son and daughter-in-law, Daryl and Dawn Moses of Athens; five grandchildren, Chris Coleman and his wife, Amber, Amy King and her husband, Wayne, Melody Lantz and her husband, Daniel, Hannah Kees and her husband, Bayson, and Ryan McCutchen; 10 great-grandchildren, Riley Lantz, Cody King, Chelsey King, Dustin Dispain, Hallie Coleman, Justin Alexander, Sean Kees, Caleb Kees, Emily Kees and Grayson Kees; one great-great-granddaughter, Zoey McClintock; one sister, Dorothy Laslett of Auckland, New Zealand; and one brother-in-law, Morley Phillips of Auckland, New Zealand.
Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Ziegler Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Thomas officiating. Burial will be noon Thursday in McMinn Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Cody King, Dustin Dispain, Daniel Lantz, Bill Vickers, Dave Mason and Ryan McCutchen. Justin Alexander will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
