Bonnie Marie Graves Welton, 81, of Athens, died Friday night, Sept. 14, 2012, at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga.
A native of Manton, Mich., she was a resident of Athens for the past four years. A daughter of the late Harold and Vera McArthur Graves, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Gordon Welton; and one brother, Francis Graves. She was retired from Harbor Creek Community Schools in Michigan.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Loretta and Richard Swafford of Athens, and Mary and Tim Grammar of Morris, Okla.; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Larry Welton of Battlecreek, Mich., Rocky and Ruth Ann Welton of Morris, Okla., Casey Welton of East LeRoy, Mich., and Bob and Diane Welton of Morris, Okla.; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Lola and Cliff Carnahan and Loretta Carnahan, all of Mesick, Mich.; one brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Shelly Graves of Muskegon, Mich.; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Monday at Athens Free Saints True Holiness Church with the Rev. Bill Hicks officiating. Burial will be held Thursday in Fairview Cemetery in Manton, Mich.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Monday at the church.
