Frankie Louise Summers Wade, 71, of Rock Hill, S.C., passed away Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C.
Born in Guyton, Ga., she was a daughter of the late Thomas Franklin Summers and the late Eunice Lavenia Burgstiner Summers. She was retired from Bowater with 35 years of service and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday school, was a member of the WMU and was treasurer for 30 years. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, Christmas and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by one brother, Joe Summers.
Survivors include her husband, Dean Wade; one son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Kimberly Wade of St. Marys, Ga.; one daughter and son-in-law, Shari and David Hovis of Rock Hill, S.C.; one sister and brother-in-law, Alice and Ken Bailey of Rock Hill, S.C.; and five grandchildren, Kayleigh Vaughn and her husband, Chris, Allye McNeil and her husband, Chad, Ivy and Chase Wade and Miranda Hovis.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Reggie Hopkins and the Rev. Tony Slawson officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park on Cherry Road.
The family will receive friends from noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the church.
