Ravanell Goines, 89, of Decatur, left this world and entered into our Heavenly Father\'s arms on Tuesday, May 15, 2012.
She was born on March 16, 1923, in Cookeville, to the late Clarance and Ida Trobaugh. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cam Goines; and five children, Brenda Goines, Charlene Shelton, Cam Goines Jr., Larry Goines and Fred Goodman.
She leaves behind her beloved children and their spouses, Billy and Susan Trew of Decatur, Jimmy and Connie Goines of Chattanooga, Jimmy and Marlene Boles of Ten Mile, Gerald and Jo Ann Goines of Decatur, Wallace and Lynn Stokes of Sweetwater, and Earnest and Louise Goodman of Bunker Hill, Ind.; 29 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Bowers Funeral Home with the Rev. Connie Goins officiating. Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday in the Hilltop Baptist Church Cemetery, located at 116 County Road 86 in Riceville.
Pallbearers will be Jonathon Shelton, Gerald Shelton, Tyler Shelton, Cam Shelton, Billy Trew and Michael Goines. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Joe Goines and Joey Goines.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
