Zeonia Haynes Wall, 94, of Crossett, Ark., died Tuesday, May 8, 2012.
She was born on Jan. 2, 1918, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Crossett, Ark. The best moment of her life was the moment she took her last breath and saw her Lord face to face. She was an avid gardener, quilter and reader. Mr. and Mrs. Wall lived in Athens for many years while Mr. Wall was working with Bowater Paper Company. After his retirement, they returned to their home in Crossett, Ark.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, James Marion Wall Jr.; one son, James Marion Wall III; her parents, William Smith Haynes and Abbie Lee; seven brothers, Harvey, Howard, Henderson, Wiley, Jack, R.W. and Oliver Haynes; and one sister, Lelia Haynes Fleming.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Lou and John Crisp of Birmingham, Ala.; one son and daughter-in-law, William Gregory and Linda Wall of Pensacola, Fla.; one granddaughter, Michelle Crisp of Hopkins, S.C.; one sister-in-law, Frankie Lou Haynes of Crossett, Ark.; two brothers-in-law, Roy Wall and his wife, Betty, of Ruston, La., and Bill Wall and his wife, Pat, of Aurora, Colo.; her God-great-granddaughter, Michele Graham; her God-great-great-grandchildren, Cheyanne and Carson Reddish, both of Goose Creek, S.C.; two great-granddaughters and one spouse, Melissa and Rob Kizer of Houston, Texas, and Jessica Alderman of Pensacola, Fla.; several great-great-granddaughters; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and an extended family member, Suzanne Lattimore of Nashville.
Funeral services were 10 a.m. Saturday at Jones Funeral Home with Dr. Russell Moore officiating. Burial followed in Carter Cemetery.
The family received friends from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, Ark., was in charge of arrangements.
