David L. Jones, 70, of Townsend, died Tuesday, May 1, 2012.
He was a loving husband and father and was retired from EG&G Manufacturing in Oak Ridge. He was a craftsman of many trades, loved music and especially enjoyed caning chairs at the Townsend Museum. He enjoyed people, always had a smile on his face and never met a stranger.
Survivors include his wife of almost 54 years, Mary Jones; four daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Ray Gooch, Sabrina and Scott Casteel, Candy and Monty Bertram and Celeste and Zach Elias; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Faye Hopkins; nephews; and devoted pets, Shooter and Diva.
Miller Funeral Home of Maryville is in charge of arrangements.
