Jennifer George Blevins, 39, of Athens, died early Friday morning, April 20, 2012, at her residence.
A native of Ft. Pope, La., she was raised by her grandparents, Ray George and the late Clara George of Mansfield, La.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Athens. She had been associated with C.H. Robinson Worldwide, Inc., of Knoxville until her illness and was formerly associated with Averitt Express of Cookeville.
Survivors include her husband, Rodney Blevins Jr. of Athens; two sons, Brandon Ray Blevins and Brady Ray Blevins, both of Athens; one sister and brother-in-law, Rebecca and Barry Maggard of Abingdon, Va.; one brother-in-law and his wife, Chris and Teresa Blevins of Athens, mother-in-law, Donna Davis of Athens, a niece, Sarah Blevins of Athens; two nephews, Nicholas and Dylan Maggard, both of Abingdon, Va.; and special friends, Michelle Gaw, Michelle Dishman and Wendy Thompson, all of Cookeville.
Funeral services were 4 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church of Athens with Dr. Jason Clark officiating. Burial followed in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Chris Blevins, Barry Maggard, Monte Gaw, Lee Holt, Carl Haney, Jeff Dishman, Bobby Thompson and Mike Frank. Honorary pallbearers were the Adult II Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church of Athens.
The family received friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the church.
