Margaret Gentry, 83, of Harriman, died Monday, April 16, 2012, at Victorian Square Assisted Living in Rockwood.
She was born Feb. 7, 1929, in Madisonville to the late Thomas Russell Tallent and the late Reba Lois Tallent. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Rockwood, where she was also a member of the Victory Group. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and was preceded in death by her husband, Charles T. Gentry.
Survivors include one daughter, Pamela Gentry Wright of Soddy-Daisy; one son and daughter-in-law, Alan W. Gentry and Malinda Taylor of Franklin; grandchildren, PO2 Nicholas Wright of Norfolk, Va., PVT Corey Wright of Ft. Sills, Okla.; one brother and sister-in-law, Richard Eugene and Wanda Sue Tallent of Hixson; one sister, Patricia Harrill of Hixson; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, located at 309 N. Chamberlain Avenue in Rockwood. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Roane Memorial Gardens in Rockwood.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the church.
