Richard \"Alex\" Bales, 17, of Ten Mile, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 12, 2012.
He brought so much joy to his family and friends and every life he touched. He will be loved, cherished and missed always.
Survivors include his parents, Tabitha Bales and Jonathan Swanks, both of Ten Mile, and Robert Mattox of Smithville; two sisters, Ashley Mattox and Veronica Mattox, both of Ten Mile; his grandparents, Jerry Swanks, Sammie Swanks, Frances Bales and Vickey Bales, all of Ten Mile, and Bill Brown of Decatur.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Bowers Funeral Home with the Rev. Scotty Bales officiating. Burial will follow in Edgemon Cemetery in Ten Mile.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
