Cynthia Denise Bailey Ferguson, 56, of Athens, died Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at Athens Regional Medical Center.
A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., and a resident of McMinn County since 1992, she was a daughter of the late Delores Bailey. She was a member of St. Mark A.M.E. Zion Church, a former member of Eastern Star and a former employee of Proffitt\'s Department Store.
Survivors include her father, Earvin Coleman Sr.; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Maurice and Megan Ferguson, Lee Ferguson and Jamal Ferguson, all of Athens; one daughter, Rochelle Bailey of Athens; one brother, Earvin Coleman Jr. of Victorville, Calif.; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Lisa and Tyrone Murray of San Antonio, Texas, and Patricia and Leona, both of Hampton, Va.; four grandchildren, Jeremiah, Brayden, Ethan and True; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be 6 p.m. Monday at St. Mark A.M.E. Zion Church with the Rev. Herman Poindexter officiating.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at the church.
