Mildred L. Weber, 77, of Charles Town, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 8, 2012.
Born Jan. 23, 1935, in Athens, she was preceded in death by her parents, John and Rosie Halcomb; and three brothers. She will also be united in heaven with her son-in-law, Sidney Gene Parrish.
She retired from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, where she was employed for 30 years. She was a dedicated parishioner of St. James the Greater Catholic Church in Charles Town, and was a faithful follower and servant of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Survivors include her beloved husband and best friend of 56 years, Edward F. Weber, along with two children, Linda Parrish and Susan Wallace, all of Charles Town, W.Va.; grandchildren, Logan Parrish, Amber Buracker, Jason Parrish, Trevor Parrish and Garrett Wallace; and numerous and much loved great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. James the Greater Catholic Church, located at 49 Crosswinds Drive in Charles Town, W.Va., with Father John Ledford as the celebrant, and assisted by Deacon David Galvin. Burial will follow in Edge Hill Cemetery in Charles Town.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, with a prayer vigil at 8:30 p.m., at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, located on U.S. 340 at Halltown Road in Charles Town/Harpers Ferry, W.Va.
