Laura A. Shoemaker, 90, of Camp Hill, Pa., died Saturday, April 7, 2012, at her residence.
She was born April 17, 1921, in Trenton, N.J., and was a daughter of the late Vito and Angela Grande Annicchiarico. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Shoemaker, a former resident of Athens.
She retired as a librarian with the Forestry Service for the U.S. Department of Agriculture. She was a member of St. Laurence Catholic Church, located in Upper Darby, Pa.
Survivors include four children, Lisbeth Shoemaker of Camp Hill, Pa., Laurie Shoemaker of Phillipsburg, N.J., Michael Shoemaker of Cleveland, and John Shoemaker of Boise, Idaho; five grandchildren; and one sister-in-law and her husband, Ozelle and Harold \"Prof\" Powers of Athens.
A funeral mass will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary\'s Catholic Church with Father William Oruko A.J. officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be members of St. Mary\'s Catholic Church.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the church.
