Lela Grant Lawson

A daughter of the late Harley Clinton Grant and the late Katie Lou Sutton Grant, both formerly of Sweetwater, she was the wife of the late Herbert Franklin Lawson. She worked several years at Carolyn Chenille and was a devoted mother and wife. She was preceded in death by one sister, Edith Johnson; and three brothers, Joe, Bill and H.C. \"Junior\" Grant.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Reva and Harold Love and Nancy and Charles Higdon; one son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Jimmia Lawson; two grandsons, Brian Feagan and James Lawson; one great-grandson, Justin Lawson; and several nieces and nephews.
The body is at Kyker Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sweetwater Memorial Park with the Rev. Robert Jenkins officiating.
Kyker Funeral Home of Sweetwater is in charge of arrangements.
