Breast cancer support group meets Monday

The local breast cancer support group, the Breast Cancer Network of Strength - formerly Y-ME - will meet next Monday, Oct. 26, at Shoney's in Athens. The meeting and Dutch-treat meal will take place in the private dining room. In observance of October as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Tammy Lowry, supervisor of Athens Regional Medical Center's Breast Center, will speak on the prevention of breast cancer. Lowry is a radiologic technologist in radiology and mammography.
