Best friends ready to battle in State
Sometimes the best things in life happen unexpectedly.
That was the the case this year for the McMinn County High School's doubles tennis team of Kaitlyn Barlok and Shelby Monroe when they won the region tournament to earn a spot in next week's state tournament. They are the first McMinn girls' doubles team to reach the state tournament since 1964. -
Chargers look to build on success

The Bible of Joseph McMinn, an early Tennessee governor for whom McMinn County derives its name, was donated to the museum this year by Tom and Joan Barrett of Cleveland. -
