Rhea-Craig Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution: will meet on Thursday, Nov. 8, at 2 p.m., at the Sweetwater Library, located at 210 Mayes Ave.

NARFE (National Active and Retired Federal Employees): will meet on Wednesday, Nov. 7, at noon, at Western Sizzlin’ in Athens. Everyone welcome.

Church Events

Watts Bar Church of God: will host its 17th Annual Chosen Ladies Conference Nov. 8-10. Thursday and Friday night services will begin at 7 p.m.; Friday morning service at 10 a.m.; and Saturday evening “Praise, Worship and Healing Service” at 6 p.m., which is open to anyone.

Jamie Massey is the guest speaker Thursday and Friday evenings. Pastor Kelly Goins is the Friday morning speaker. There will be a catered luncheon following the 10 a.m. service.

The cost is $12 per person. From 1:30-3:30 p.m., there will be break-out sessions with guest speakers Pastor Jeannie Brown, Thaila Graham, Dr. Kim Moffett and Pastor Barbara Salley.
