PUBLIC NOTICE STATE OF TENNESSEE, DEPARTMENT OF CHILDRENS SERVICES V. LEUAVA CORR AND DEMETRIUS BONNER The State of Tennessee, Department of Childrens Services has filed a petition in McMinn County Juvenile Court, alleging dependency and neglect concerning the child D.C., born April 8, 2019. An adjudicatory hearing in this case is set for September 10, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. before the Honorable James F. Watson, Magistrate for McMinn County Juvenile Court. Leuava Corr and Demetrius Bonner must appear before this Court on that date to participate in the hearing, which will determine whether the child should be found to be dependent and neglected. The Court is located at 1317 S. White Street, Athens, TN 37303. If Leuava Corr and Demetrius Bonner do not come to the hearing, the state will ask the Court to allow it to proceed without contest. That means that the state will ask the Court to let it present proof without having any lawyer appear and defend the rights of Leuava Corr and Demetrius Bonner in Court. Pursuant to T.C.A. 37-1-107(e), (f), any party may request a de novo rehearing of this matter by the Judge of the Juvenile Court, by filing a request with the Juvenile Court Clerk within ten (10) days, excluding non-judicial days, following the entry date of this Order. In the event no re-hearing is requested within the ten (10) days, or when the right to a hearing is waived, the findings and recommendations of the Magistrate become the final decree of the Court. This final order may be appealed to the Circuit Court, which shall hear the testimony of witnesses and try the case de novo. This appeal must be perfected within ten (10) days, excluding non-judicial days, following the entry date of this Order. Appeal may be made a filing a Notice of Appeal with the Juvenile Court Clerk. You may obtain a copy of the Petition and any subsequently filed legal documents or hearing dates in the Juvenile Court Clerks Office at the address shown above. This will constitute appropriate service on Leuava Corr and Demetrius Bonner for all future filings in this case. ENTER this 2nd day of July, 2019 James F.
